Open: Open to all competitors. Recommended for groomers with advanced styling skills, previous successful competition experience and professional conformation show exhibitors with expert styling skills.

Intermediate: Restricted to competitors who have not won 3 Best in Show or 3 Best All Around Groomer titles from the Intermediate division or 6 (six) 1st placements from the Intermediate division at any show (with a minimum of four contestants entered and judged in the class for the win to qualify). Recommended for groomers with Intermediate styling skills or conformation show ring exhibitors (Have groomed and handled a breed to champion).

Entry (Novice): Restricted to competitors who have not won 4 (four) 1st placements from the entry division at any show (with a minimum of four contestants entered and judged in the class for the win to qualify).  Recommended for groomers who have never competed before and/or possess novice-grooming skills.  Handlers, conformation show exhibitors, and grooming instructors are not permitted to compete in the Entry (Novice) division.  This does not apply to new handlers who have not handled a breed to championship.

Two talented groomers, one beautiful dog! Work together to groom any dog in any style of your choosing. Themes are encouraged! Let your creativity shine! May the best team win!  No divisions for this class, Novice and Advanced competitors are encouraged to team up!

Let your creativity shine in our Creative Model Dog contest! Bring your fully groomed Creative Model Dog design to the show for display on Friday. The models will be shown off all weekend long and winners will be announced on Sunday! 

Groomers may enter as many models as they wish!

To be eligible for prizes Models must be on display all weekend.

For Purebred Terriers and other traditionally Handstripped Breeds. Novice level competitors may elect to use clippers or handstripping to achieve a Breed Standard Style. Intermediate and Open levels should handstrip.

Pick up your model dog from Registration by Friday show close, bring your model fully brushed out and ready to trim Saturday morning. Anything goes from Purebred Styles to Freestyle trims!

Open to any dog mixed breed or Purebred in a clippered trim. Salon pet styles are encouraged. You MUST use only clippers for the first half of your groom time. You may use Scissors or Clippers for the second half of your groom time.

SALON FREESTYLE

Judging 10:30-11:00 am

Open to any dog mixed breed or Purebred clearly not in Breed Standard trim. This is the class for fun Salon Styles like Asian Fusion and Teddy Trims. Anything goes!

Over 17 inches - 2 hours

POODLE

Sunday May 31

Check in 11:30-12:00 pm

Competition 12:15-2:30 pm

Judging 2:30-3:00 pm

For all sizes and naturally occurring colors of Poodles, in any Poodle trim, Pet or Show Style. 

A poodle face with a moustache or beard is permitted, scissored feet are permitted. Scissored faces (ie Teddy Bear, Bichon etc) are NOT permitted and should be entered in Salon Freestyle. Feet may be clipped prior to the start of the class. Banding for Spray Up and/or hair extensions may be in place prior to the start of the class.

Under 11 inches - 1 hour 30 mins

11-17 inches - 1 hour 45 mins

17-23 inches - 2 hours

Over 23 inches - 2 hours 15 mins

CREATIVE RUNWAY

Sunday May 31

Runway Show  4:00 pm

Creative Groomers! Time to strut your stuff! Open to any creative grooms, from simple coat carving to elaborate full colour designs. Groomers feel free to coordinate your outfits to match your dogs, let your creativity shine in this fun contest!

 

Bring your dog (fully groomed off site) to the show for judging at 3:45 pm sharp! The Runway Show will begin in the ProFur Contest Arena at 4:00 pm, followed by the awards presentation

BEST IN SHOW

Best In Show

1st Place finishers from ALL Divisions in the Sporting, Wirecoat, All Other Purebreds, Poodles and Salon Freestyle classes are asked to please bring their dogs back for Best In Show judging Sunday May 31 at 4:15 pm
